Did you?? I know I did!

there is only one day that people around the world celebrate the sacrifices the armed forces have made in keeping this world free. Today is that day .... November 11th, Today is Remembrance Day.

My age group was lucky enough to miss the fight for freedom. Something I could never do was kill somebody, but to all the people, all the veterans, that have layed down their lives for our freedom and all those who still serve, I want to say

THANK YOU!

I got a tear in my eye reading this. Remember, it's the little things.

Now the real question, did any of you stand for 2 minutes to respect the fallen? I have for as long as I can remember! If you did, was it a forced thing( you were in a grocery store and they made an announcement) or did you simply stop what you were doing?

LEST WE FORGET

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
