Our little event happened on August 20th, at Peninsula Lakes http://www.penlakes.com/ just about 20-25 minutes from the Niagara Falls. The drive was quite uneventful, a lot of that has to do with the 8:57 tee time OUCH. I had to leave the house at 6:15, and if it weren't for bad signage I would have arrived at 8:15 ..... quite the drive for a single game of golf, but it was worth the drive.
Nice course, a little too wet for my liking, so wet in fact that I actually plugged a drive in the fairway. A lot of that had to do with a recent storm, and the early tee time did help with the wet greens. I'll admit the course was really nice, not many "ooww or aahhhh!" holes, just a really nice, well manicured course. The greens were in great shape, but I was really hoping for some seriously quick greens OH WELL!
Just a quick little note ...... Man was I jealous of Fred, he was having a GREAT round of golf. He did slow down a little later in the round, but still kicked all of our asses.

p.s. next year lets get back to a 2 night, 3 day thing, and how about back in Niagara Falls?? I'll plan it, and we can have lunch at our new favorite place.
p.p.s. Anybody want a story about our interesting lunch, our trans gender waiter/waitress, and the fact that, for the first time EVER, Stew didn't finish his meal, just ask!
So the story goes that next years golf trip will be a 9 hole event, I was looking at an 18 hole par three course in 2007, a nine hole in 2008, and a putt putt course in 2009, followed by playing a course on Nintendo in 2010!
Sounds like a party don't it!
