That's not really the question, but here it comes!
Do you think that all the illegal workers in Canada should be allowed to stay??
ME? NOPE, go home, apply properly and see what happens.
Most of these people are good honest(?) hard working(?) people, but are in the Country because they've either filed for landed immigrant and were denied, OR they put in for asylum and were denied, OR they KNOWINGLY overstayed their visitors visa. WHAT makes these people think they have ANY rights other than the most basic human rights? They should follow the rules and re-apply OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY! If you're denied, SORRY, but stay home, the country doesn't want you. I don't care that they "fill a gap" or "take jobs others won't", YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALLY, I DON'T CARE about anything else. The fact that you are here and broke the law to remain here, says a lot about your character.
Lot's of people try to say that the illegal immigrants are doing nothing wrong and are contributing to society. They say they fill a void, they work hard, they may even pay taxes. That's great, it'slike saying you came and stayed at my house, overstayed your welcome, but decided you'd vacuum the house, and when you were asked to leave your big argument is "look how clean the carpets are!"
Look, I have no problem with immigration, we are all immigrants, either many years ago or much more recently. I truly believe this country is great because of the variety of people living here. What I don't like to see is the slow disintegration of our society due to a lax immigration policies and no penalties for illegal immigrants.
How about this, basic rights ONLY for the first 5 years, schooling for the children GREAT, but NO social assistance, and NO health care for 5 years. Full rights only after 5 years, and no sponsorship rights for 5 years(7 for the aged) . We don't need people coming to this country because they are sponsored ONLY to use our free healthcare system when they have given NOTHING to our society.
BRENT
P.s. Good to see some minimum sentencing for gun related crimes, but they still aren't enough in my opinion.
P.P.s I'm not overly impressed with the Softwood limber deal, we are giving up 1 billion dollars up front, but at least we get some of our money back .....Another story about the U.S. being the bully, but we won't go there:)
