Buildings, they ain't what they used to be!

Have you looked around lately?? NO, not at the walls, have you looked at the homes and office buildings being built under the "modern is better" theme??

Me, I get disgusted when I drive past a newly constructed monstrosity that builders are passing as "a modern masterpiece". Look at that mess North of Eagle on the West side of Yonge in Newmarket, it's the York region Administrative building. Sure it looks kinda pretty, but will the looks hold up?? To me it's already dated, and classic is always cool. Making a building with round walls and concentric circles isn't what I call art.

Here's an excercise for you, walk up to any "modern" building and look for anything with long lasting style, now look at any old building, the designs are so much more aesthetically pleasing than the crap built today. Now in every generation you get good and bad, but with the cost to build sooo high they tend to forget the style aspect. What's worse is when Cities and Towns don't protect important architecture, our history is important!
