I'm not too sure I owe anybody reading this an apology for the wait, so you aren't getting one:)

The big news is after the 9th of April, my mouth will no longer be filled with decay, that's when teeth start getting put back in instead of coming out:):(

So week 7 went like this;

Total Bill

$1224 ...... Running total $8051 .......ONE week, just ONE week without a bill over $1000!

2 Prefabricated retentive posts($280 total)
3 Tooth coloured restorations($944)

WEEK 7.5 ...................The hygienist........bmm bmm bmm!

Although I think this is something of a scam, the Dentist wanted it done before the next weeks fillings. Most of the work was done cleaning the front 7-8 teeth and prepping them for the work to come....what was slightly unexpected was the comment the hygienist made "Wow, I've never seen teeth this eaten away", and of course her reaction of pure understanding about my tooth condition when I mentioned my old 8-10 2 litres a week pop habit.......................Down to just over 3 a week now........Trying to get it further, I've found a good tasting carbonated water from Loblaws, but so far most stores don't carry it yet....oh well.

I'm NOT including this in my total dental work, and though it will be a separate line in FINAL total

This bill was Scaling, 4 units $216! I did get a few freebies though, another toothbrush among my haul:)

I will say that I would go weekly if all the workers were as cool as she is, cute small brunette, friendly .... it wasn't a chore going to see her!

The 2012 Dentistry Debacle ..........WEEK 6

Doesn't it feel like week 36?

Didn't get around to asking about any possible discount this week after the discussion turned to the stages involved in my debacle, and actual implants and such come after all of the decay is dealt with.

SO, Edie MCclurg is gone, seems like the owner of the 4 locations(Stouffville, Port Perry, Uxbridge, somewhere else:)) rotates assistants around, and although it seems odd to me, especially with somebody like me coming in weekly, this is their policy ......please bring the blonde back:)

OK, so this week we had 2 root canals on the second from the back molar on the left side, it gets pretty painful when you have your mouth as wide open as you can and he keeps saying "open as wide as you can", and I have no way to tell him off since he has a needle in his hand and my mouth is full of instruments. Worst thing about this was the 3 roots were in one tooth, and it still hasn't settled yet 5 days later.

I might also have a problem with the back molar on the right side. He worked on the tooth to get rid of the decay, and them filled it, BUT now the tooth is much more sensitive to cold whereas before I had none..........it was like a mechanic replacing a battery in a car and then finding out you need to replace the alternator .......so what happens with the useless, not need battery, is it simply a "I was afraid this might happen, now we need to do a root canal" all when there was no pain before.....Great way to keep the $$ coming in!

the actual $$ will come when I find the receipt and I edit this post to add it, but I remember is that I made another $5000 deposit.....ouch!

Sorry, got lost in thought about the Teachers contract negotiations, anyways, Monday wasn't a bad day, but the 1 tooth I had a root canal on was so simple I felt like I should have been given a discount.

SO the cute blond is gone, and never to return.....I'm not sure actually, but this week I had the joy of have a duplicate of Edie MCclurg helping with the work ...... that got old quick!

Anyways, here's the total damage

$744 ...... Running total $5369 .......Not a big week, unless you factor in that it's nearly a months rent:)

Work performed

1 Root canal ......more like 1/2 a root canal, although I was frozen for 3 hours afterwards.
1 Tooth coloured restoration ....back right molar!

Next week is "The Confrontation" where I discuss the change from a bridge to an implant, and whether certain teeth actually need a crown after the restoration, but I guess that depends on how much work was done
